An EICR is the fixed-wire inspection report many insurers, landlords, agents and facilities contacts ask for. It may also be described as fixed wire testing, periodic inspection and testing, or an Electrical Installation Condition Report.

What we need from you for a fixed quote
- Last EICR report — PDF or a photo of the front page. Tells us installation age, prior observations, and any remedial history.
- Photos of the consumer unit / distribution board and any known problem areas.
- Property address, business name, and any deadlines (insurance, lease renewal, sale).
No report to hand? Photos and a rough description of the premises is enough — we'll ask follow-up questions before quoting.

- Visit — typically 1–2 hours for a small shop, half a day for larger premises.
- Digital EICR certificate within 24 hours of the visit, ready to share with insurers, landlords, agents or facilities contacts.
- Renewal — we automatically remind you 90, 60, 30 and 7 days before your next EICR is due.

How long does the visit take?
1–2 hours for a small shop or office, up to half a day for larger premises. We confirm an estimate with your quote so there are no surprises on the day.
What if the report flags remedial work?
We send a separate quote before doing anything. You choose whether to proceed — no surprise extras, no upsell.
Do you do the remedial work yourselves?
Small remedial items can often be handled directly, such as a loose connection or damaged accessory. If the report points to wider work, we will explain the options and quote the next step separately before anything is booked.
Do you cover my town?
We cover Northampton, Kettering, Wellingborough and Corby. Outside that we may still travel — ask first and we'll confirm any surcharge before booking.

Not usually. We work around your opening hours — early morning, evening or weekend slots are often available for shops and salons. Discuss timing when you request the quote.
How quickly can the visit happen?
Most business EICRs are booked within a week. If you have a tight deadline (insurance renewal, lease renewal, sale completion) mark your enquiry "Within 24 hours" or "This week" and we'll prioritise.
