Terms & Conditions – L.A Electrical

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the provision of electrical services by L.A Electrical (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you (“client”, “you”, “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Scope of Services
We provide electrical testing, installation, accessory replacement (e.g. sockets, switches), EICRs, fuse board upgrades, and compliance-related electrical services
We reserve the right to refuse work that is unsafe, unlawful, or beyond our professional capability.
2. Quotes & Pricing

All prices are subject to change and valid for 14 days from issuance unless stated otherwise.

Promotional offers (e.g. Accessory Replacement at £29.99) may be withdrawn or changed at any time.

Final cost may vary based on on-site conditions, scope changes, or additional parts/labour required.

Prices include labour and standard materials unless specified otherwise.
3. Appointments & Cancellations

You must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a £30 cancellation fee.

If you are not present or provide access at the agreed time, this may be considered a late cancellation.

Emergency bookings may be subject to additional call-out charges.
4. Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.

We accept payment via cash, card, or bank transfer.

Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate per month, plus admin fees.
Warranty & Workmanship

All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of service.

This excludes faults caused by customer misuse, third-party interference, or failure to maintain the system.

Manufacturer warranties apply for all materials and components, subject to their terms.
Customer Obligations

You must ensure the premises are accessible and safe to work in.

You must inform us of any known hazards or electrical faults prior to our arrival.

You are responsible for any required permissions from landlords, managing agents, or authorities.
Liability Limitations

We are not liable for pre-existing faults, damages caused by outdated infrastructure, or any losses arising indirectly from delays or service disruption.

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in question, unless otherwise required by law.

We will not be responsible for losses due to unforeseeable events, acts of God, or third-party interference.
Health & Safety

All work is carried out in accordance with current UK electrical safety standards and regulations.

We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if unsafe conditions are present.
9. Privacy & Data
We only collect and use customer data (name, contact info, property details) for the purpose of providing electrical services, quoting, and follow-up communication. We do not share your data with third parties without consent. For full details, please refer to our [Privacy Policy].
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
